Very few people know where Inwood Indiana is, and even fewer know Salem Cemetery. From the crumbling stones, to the trees that rattle their branches like bones, Salem Cemetery has intrigued and fascinated Inwoodians for generations. Inwood Indiana Press is happy to name this issue after Salem, in honor of the souls buried there, and in homage to all the little forgotten plots of land dotting the Midwest. Once again, Inwood Indiana brings you carefully selected stories and poems from emerging writers from across the Midwest and around the world.
There are real moments of beauty in this edition, poignant poems, pastoral moments of Midwestern beauty mixed with tales of love, coming of age, horror, strange happenings, creatures, and an old man who just won’t die.
