Twenty-two years ago I had an epiphany.
Actually a dream, but the
implications were so grand I
have to call it an epiphany.
I was given a tour of the galaxies.
Save for a small planet trillions
of miles from the earth we were
the only life.
The inhabitants
of this far away planet were
incapable of space travel.
At first
I was disappointed. I fancied all
the tales of UFO’s, Space Aliens,
and abductions that I had grown
up with were true.
But then something
much more sinister became clear.
What if we are the only planet with life?
What are we doing? We are
killing ourselves and our planet.
We have to stop the hatred, the
killing and the pollution that is choking
our planet.
How? I don’t have any clear
answers but I do know that we have to
get our heads out of the clouds and
our feet back on earth.
