INWOOD ★ INDIANA ★ A REAL SMALL TOWN ★ InwoodStories & poems from a real small town

Natural Revolution

Oceans are gobbling up oil-rigs
and coastal beaches; hailstones
are bringing down roof tops,
and harshly dismantling vehicles;
winds are taking out bridges,
like a peel from a banana……

Nature put Her trust in Man,
but Man put his trust in Science;
Science as dangerous as a Minotaur
that has escaped the Labyrinth
in the night.

An invincible revolution has swept
across the world; lament reeking deep
within our souls, makes us vulnerable
to deathly hopelessness.
