half-drunk cups upturned
crescent eyes fall to dreams
blue veins show up to shore
I always wanted more out of life
mornings rise; suffocating cigarette blue
count the hours, wishing for another 11:11
maybe I’m sick, I say
maybe I can get out of everything
never happens the way I want it to be
too much caffeine makes my heart biled
I reminisce on the many women I used to love
what happened that made us fade
I ask as the yellow moon bleeds on the veranda
I was the issue, the symptom
of these passionate humors
this greenhouse became my ailed cage
I’m waiting for the white sheen woman to
give me the bitter roots and roses
to think consciously again
